The New St. George Elementary School
If you would like to keep track of the progress of our facility improvements all you need to do is visit this article and look at the slideshows. They will be updated every week or two.
The first project is the new Westmoreland Elementary School playground. The playground was moved to the east side of the building in order to make room for a potential two-story addition on the south side. The new playground is much larger and features exciting new pieces of equipment and rubber ground cover.
The vocational building at the Rock Creek JSHS was an important improvement due to the inadequacy of the shop and greenhouse. This new 6800 square feet facility will house the Vocational Agriculture program and can be expanded to include additional vocational/technical programs.
The new St. George Elementary was needed due to an overcrowded and dilapidated learning environment. Also, the current building sits on a site that could not be satisfactorily added to. In addition, large anticipated growth in the area required that this 76,000 square foot facility be built with future expansions anticipated. Its unique design is ideally suited for the multi-age learning environment we practice.
